Issue Position

You wouldn't know it by listening to Republicans, but there is more to the Constitution than the 2nd and 10th Amendments. In addition to defending our right to bear arms and our state's right to self determination, I will defend a woman's right to choose, guaranteed by the 9th & 14th amendments, and vigorously fight any attempt to deny equal protection of the law to our LGBTQ citizens under the guise of "religious liberty". The 1st amendment right to freedom of religion does not extend to using religious beliefs as a pretense to deny rights to others. As the famous saying goes, "Your right to swing your fist ends at the tip of my nose."
